Sigur Rós - Takk...

Thanks to the strange yet overwhelmingly beautiful soundscape featured on this album, I’ve been listening to it non-stop since I bought it last week. Every single track is absolutely brilliant and harmonious in its own way.

There’s no point in me delving into the album any futher so instead, check out their official website and watch the music video of “Glósóli”, just one of the many amazing tracks on the album. Or if you have access to iTunes, be sure to listen to the previews for each and every single track and you’ll see why I can’t put this album down.

Witching Hour

Decided to give the iTunes Music Store a go and bought this on the weekend: Witching Hour by Ladytron.

To sum it up in one word: WOW!

These guys have really pulled off an excellent album. The music, along with the awesome vocals of Helen Marnie and Mira Aroyo, generates an incredibly sensual soundscape throughout the entire album. A bit of warning though to all Ladytron’s fans out there: the mood is a bit darker than their previous albums but still, it makes for a very interesting listening experience. Definitely one of the best Electronica albums I gotten my hands on this year.
